Tresavean Tramway

Although the rails have long gone the path of the tramway can still be clearly seen. The tramway served the Tresavean Mine in Lanner. The wagons would have been hauled by donkeys or horses but the tramway linked into the Hayle Railway (with a branch to Portreath) which had steam railway engines. Welsh coal was brought to the mine and copper and tin ore taken out.
